Pastoral Care Trainer

My name is Jean Pillar. I am married to John and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. I live in Northern Ireland.

I was a registered General Nurse, Midwife and specialised in Intensive Care Nursing before becoming Pastoral Associate and member of the ministerial team in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church. I served for 12 years before leaving in 2018.

I have been a member of the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) for 16 years and am a Fellow of ACC. I have taught Resourcing Pastoral Care Course and various courses over the past 14 years, the most recent being the Foundations in Pastoral Care.

I believe if pastoral care is delivered safely and effectively with love, compassion and grace and of course modelling it on the life of Jesus, it can change, enhance and enrich people’s lives.
