Who the course is aimed at:
Our Level 4 teaches an integrative counselling model. Within this, a person centred framework is used to develop the relationship. In year 2 a wider range of models are introduced to develop each counsellors own integration.
This is Network’s flagship course. Over two years we build the theoretical framework, practical skills and personal development needed to work as a professional counsellor. It is suited to students who have completed substantial Certificate level training. What makes this course different is its emphasis on the integration of faith, spirituality and counselling practice. In addition to covering the same ground that is covered by comparable humanistic and Person-Centred Diploma courses, this course will also give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of human spirituality and to explore the interface between your own developing spirituality and your practice.
Network is proud of the quality and professionalism of its training programme. We base our teaching on the belief that all individuals are a complex unity of body, mind, soul and spirit. In recognising the spiritual aspect as universal, we offer a dimension to our courses that we believe is unique in counselling training. This Advanced Certificate course is suitable for students wishing to train as counsellors, and progress to an Advanced Diploma level training – with Network or elsewhere. It is also ideal for those simply wishing to develop their listening and counselling skills for use in other roles and settings such as pastoral care, management, nursing or teaching.
