Pre-requisite Information: Be qualified as a therapists or counsellor to diploma level 5 or above. Experience of working with children, young people and families. Desirable completed our diploma level 5 in integrative play and creative therapy but not essential. All participants will need to complete an application form, interview, and provide two references before being accepted on to the training.
This diploma is intended for qualified therapists and counsellors, or those who have already completed our diploma level 5 training in integrative play and creative therapy.
This advanced level diploma will equip students to work with complex emotional needs of children and young people. Integrating the skills from play and creative therapy models it will focus on working with trauma and self-harming behaviours from a relational therapy basis and also focus on more of a systemic approach to working with families.
This course can be run as a hybrid model with some online sessions and some more experiential in person teaching with opportunities to practice skills learnt in triads of therapists, client and observer.
